  1. For everyone concerned about me not washing my meat, here's why. This is straight from the FDA!

Washing raw poultry, beef, pork, lamb, or veal before

cooking it is not recommended. Bacteria in raw meat

and poultry juices can be spread to other foods, utensils, and surfaces. We call this cross-contamination.

Some consumers think they are removing bacteria and

making their meat or poultry safe. However, some of

the bacteria are so tightly attached that you could not

remove them no matter how many times you washed.

But there are other types of bacteria that can be easily

washed off and splashed on the surfaces of your kitchen. Failure to clean these contaminated areas can lead

to foodborne illness. Cooking (baking, broiling, boiling,

and grilling) to the right temperature kills the bacteria,

so washing food is not necessary.

Using a food thermometer is the only sure way of knowing if your food has reached a high enough temperature

to destroy foodborne bacteria. Cook all raw beef and

veal steaks, roasts, and chops to a minimum internal

temperature of 145°F as measured with a food thermometer before removing meat from the heat source.

For safety and quality, allow meat to rest for at least

three minutes before carving or consuming. For reasons

of personal preference, consumers may choose to cook

    meat to higher temperatures.

  2. I absolutely LOVE the fact that you don’t pretend… and you’re not fake. You don’t have all the fancy measuring cups and spoons… you don’t ‘stage’ your photos… you ARE the real deal, just like the rest of us, just tryin’ to get a hot dinner on the table… and I love how you don’t just reference John 3:16, you typed out the… whole… verse… may God continue to bless you richly… From the comments (and personal experience) you have inspired those of us who are… lacking in the cooking skills department… and encourage us to try it just one more time… Many Blessings

  3. It all looks great, but bone-in chicken in the chicken & dumplings gives it more flavor. And I cook the bone-in in the crockpot w celery & onions then I do all the same things you do.

  4. I made two of your recipes. So far so good! Very simple recipes where you can find things right in your home. I'm making the chicken and dumplings now. I can't wait for my boyfriend to try it. Thank you so much.

  5. Hi Kelly, I absolutely love how you “don’t happen to have…“ But yet you produce these amazing videos which are extremely helpful to people. It’s very smart of you to put yourself in the place of the average person who may not have those things. I love your channel, and I will continue to learn from you as I raise my sons. Thank you! 🙂❤️

  6. I'm hooked on the chicken and dumplings recipe. I use chicken on the bone and celery, onions, and carrots. That is some great eating. I don't shred my chicken either I just pull it off the bone in chunks. Fantastic 😀❤️🙏❤️

  7. The cheese ravioli lasagna, to add a different flavor, try adding a little Italian sausage, the mild gives it a kick, or the sweet is good for those who can't take any spiciness.
